Peter Jutzi (2007)

Peter Jutzi (* 1938 in Duisburg ) is a German chemist and professor of inorganic chemistry at Bielefeld University .

Jutzi studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich with a diploma in 1963 and in 1965 at the University of Marburg in Max Schmidt PhD (to the chemistry of organotin phosphines). In 1971 he completed his habilitation in Würzburg [non-classical (pp) systems]; from 1979 he was a professor in Bielefeld.

Jutzi deals with organometallic chemistry, especially with the dynamic covalent chemistry of group 13 elements, with cyclopentadienyl compounds of the main group elements, with π-complexes of low-value silicon, with the formation mechanism and the preparation of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles as well as with metal asilsesquioxanes in CVD - and sol-gel process.

In 2002 he received the Alfred Stock Memorial Award , in 1992 the Max Planck Research Award, in 2000 the FS Kipping Award and in 1987 the Wacker Silicon Award. In 2007 he was a Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
