Peter Kern (Germanist)
Peter Kern (born January 2, 1941 in Gliwice , Upper Silesia ) is a German Germanic Medievalist.
Life
After his doctorate on July 10, 1968 in Bonn and his habilitation there in 1977, he became an adjunct professor there in 1981 . From 1978 to 2006 he was a lecturer in Medieval Studies at the Institute for German Studies, Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . His main research interests are Arthurian novels, song poetry, sacred poetry, the reception of antiquities, and text and image.
