Peter Krützek (born May 8, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German entrepreneur and engineer . He is the founder of the German-Italian electrical engineering group Finder , headquartered in Trebur, Hesse . Krutzk is married and has three sons.

Krutzk studied engineering at RWTH Aachen . In 1983 he founded Finder GmbH with its head office in Rüsselsheim at the time , which was to expand the sales network of the Italian Finder SpA in Central and Eastern Europe and in North America. In the following years, Krutzk founded Finder branches in Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary and the USA. He managed this until 2008. Finder employs around 1300 people worldwide (2019).

On July 25, 2008, the 25th anniversary of Finder Germany, Kr needk announced his withdrawal from the operative business of the group, whereby his sons Alexander Kreutek and Peter Kreutek Jr. were appointed to the management team. At the same time, the move to the new headquarters in Trebur-Astheim, Hesse, was announced. Peter Krützek remained on the company's advisory board.

Private life

Peter Krützek is third married and has three sons. His sons Alexander and Peter Krützek Junior are on the management board of the Finder Group, while Darius Kr easily works as a science journalist.

Public work

In 2010, Krutzk supported Horst Zuse , son of the inventor of the first digital computer, Konrad Zuse , in his replica project of the world's first binary digital computer ( Zuse Z3 ). Zuse's project was realized with around 2500 building blocks from Finder. After completion, the digital computer was presented to the public at the Hanover Fair in spring 2011 and has since been part of the exhibition at the Heinz Nixdorf Computer Museum .
