Peter Lohmann
Peter Lohmann (* 1950 ) is a German publisher .
Life
Lohmann was the founder of the Hamburg Buntbuch Verlag in 1980 , which he was responsible for as a publisher until 1985. In 1985 he co-founded the publishing house am Galgenberg in Hamburg , which he managed until bankruptcy in 1993. After that, Lohmann was in charge of the Galgenberg edition at Rasch and Röhring until 1996 - in part continuing his publishing program . At S. Fischer he headed the publishing program of Scherz Verlag from 1997 , and from 2002 to 2008 also the series Krüger, OW Barth and Fischer Taschenbuch .
Peter Lohmann was also able to make a name for himself in his two earlier small publishers, Buntbuch and Galgenberg, with the first edition of later successful works by previously unknown authors, for example the titles:
- 1985: Jakob Arjouni s Happy Birthday, Turk! in Buntbuch Verlag (later film adaptation under the title Happy Birthday, Turk! );
- 1988-1991: Doris Gercke s first six detective stories about the protagonist Bella block in publishing on gallows;
- 1990: Almudena Grandes ' Lulú published by Verlag am Galgenberg (later adaptation under the title Lulu - The Story of a Woman ).
