Peter Legendre
Peter Legendre (born October 17, 1866 in Völklingen , † October 3, 1924 in Darmstadt ) was a German politician ( center ).
Live and act
After attending elementary school and secondary school, Legendre was trained as a banker (banking, mortgage, cooperative and national economics). In 1896 he became rendant of the Trier cooperative association and member of the board of this association. In 1902 Legrendre was appointed director of this association.
In 1898 Legendre became chairman of the board of the city of Trier's livestock insurance association . A year later, in 1899, he also became chairman of the board of the Trierischer Winzerverein (association of winemakers and winegrowers' cooperatives). From 1900 to 1904 he was chairman of the bank officials' association and chairman of the board of the building cooperative for workers and craftsmen.
Legendre was also chairman of the supervisory board of the consumer brewery and yeast factory Gaislautern. In 1918 he became a member of the supervisory board of the Central Association of Farmers' Organizations in Germany.
From January 1919 to June 1920 Legendre sat as a member of the Catholic Center Party for constituency 21 (Koblenz and Trier district) in the Weimar National Assembly .
