Peter Leibinger

Peter Leibinger (born April 23, 1967 in Stuttgart ) is a German manager and deputy chairman of the group management of the high-tech company Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG .

Life

Leibinger studied mechanical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen. In 2005 he became Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Trumpf after his father Berthold Leibinger († 2018) handed over management of the company to the next generation of the family; his sister Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller took over the chairmanship. When the company restructured its group management team on July 1, 2017, Peter Leibinger became Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He is responsible for research and development, sales and service, and the establishment and expansion of new business areas.

The engineer is involved in various political, scientific and cultural committees. Leibinger has been the spokesman for the “Photonics and Quantum Systems” program committee for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 2011. He is a member of the supervisory board of Kärcher SE , a member of the senate of acatech , the advisory board of Deutsche Private Equity (DPE), the university council HDMK, as well as a member of the board of trustees of the working group of evangelical entrepreneurs. Leibinger has been married since 1997 and has four children.
