Peter Lisec

Peter Lisec (born April 8, 1937 ; † August 17, 2009 in Biberbach ) was an Austrian industrialist in mechanical engineering .

Live and act

After being appointed glazier, Peter Lisec founded the company Glastechnische Industrie Peter Lisec on October 20, 1961 . After starting out with acrylic sheets and mirrors, the factory production of insulating glass began in 1966. This technology, which was new on the European market at the time, was produced on self-made machines.

  • 1971: Start of the export of Lisec machines
  • 2006: State Prize for Innovation

By the time he passed away, the company had grown into a group with around 2000 employees.
