Peter Loris
Peter Loris (born December 23, 1876 in the fair , Kingdom of Hungary ; † October 2, 1952 there ) was a Banat Swabian Kapellmeister and composer.
Life
When he was 15, Peter Loris played the solo trumpet in the village band. From 1897 he was regimental and theater musician in Szegedin . There he came into contact with the classical music literature of the time. After ten years he returned to his home village in Banat and in 1908 took over the leadership of the village chapel, which was currently being dissolved. During the First World War, Loris served in the Austro-Hungarian Infantry Regiment No. 61 in Szeged (according to another source he was called up to the Hussar Regiment No. 5). In the inter-war period, the Loris Chapel gave concerts, with compositions by the conductor Peter Loris being performed again and again. After the Second World War he passed the baton to his son Ignatz Loris (1905–1971), who gave it to the third conductor of the family, 'Mathias Loris sen. (1927-2001), submitted. The Loris Chapel developed under the direction of the fourth conductor of the family - in the Banat people spoke of the Loris dynasty - Mathias Loris junior. (* 1951), one of the best marching bands in Romania. In the 1980s the band disbanded because their musicians emigrated to Germany. The brother of the founder of the Loris Chapel , Martin Loris (1886–1966), was a musician who, in addition to the fair, was also a bandmaster in the community of Sackelhausen and in the district town of Timisoara .
