Peter Marti (advertising entrepreneur)

Peter Marti (born January 15, 1954 ) is a Swiss business and marketing consultant as well as a specialist book author on the subject of marketing.

Life

The son of the Bernese pastor and writer Kurt Marti became known in Switzerland in the 1980s and 1990s for his provocative advertising campaigns for Hakle toilet paper and rifle jeans. In 1982 he was voted Advertiser of the Year by the Swiss newspaper Werbewoche . As Chief Executive Officer and co-owner, he managed Marti, Ogilvy & Mather AG and Ogilvy & Mather Direct. In 1997 he sold his shares and founded the Marti & Partner agency in Zurich. On April 1, 2010, the two large Zurich agencies Marti & Partner and Seilerzürich merged to form Marti.Seiler. Peter Marti had previously taken over the shares from Herbert Seiler.

Peter Marti is the author of specialist books and gives lectures at symposia and events on communication topics. In 2012 he gave several presentations in Europe on the subject of "Ethics in Communication", in November 2012 at the EU headquarters as part of the World Ethics Forum. Peter Martis Agentur is a member of the Swiss Advertising and Communication Agencies Association . He is a member of Schweizer Werbung (SW) and has received awards from the Art Directors Club, the Cannes Film Festival and the AAA.
