Peter Nöthel

Peter Nöthel (born August 15, 1960 in Göttingen ) is a German chef .

Life

After attending the hotel management school in Salzburg , he made his way from house to house ( Ratingen ) via the Gala restaurant (in the casino, Aachen ); Landhaus Laret (in Davos ) to Düsseldorf , where he has been running his own restaurants Hummerstübchen and Hotel Fischerhaus since 1985 . The Hummerstübchen was awarded a Michelin star under his management in 1988, and the restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars since 1991. The lobster parlor was closed at the end of 2012. In March 2013 Nöthel opened the "Nöthels" restaurant in Düsseldorf.

He retired in early 2019.
