Peter Nau

Peter Nau (* 1942 ) is a German film critic and author .

Life

Peter Nau was a longstanding author of the magazine Filmkritik . In addition, numerous books about cinema and filmmakers were created. His work On the Critique of Political Film was highly praised by film scholars such as Hans Helmut Prinzler , who voted it "Film Book of the Year 1978".

In 2013, for the Viennale , he published his book 100 miniatures with condensed descriptions and comments on films that Nau himself describes as “miniatures”. The publication was accompanied by a film show.

Peter Nau lives in Berlin.
