Peter O'Malley (born June 23, 1965 in Bathurst , New South Wales ) is an Australian professional golfer on the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia .
Career
He won the Australian Junior Championship and the New Zealand Amateur Championship in 1986 and became a professional golfer the following year .
O'Malley has a few wins on the PGA Tour of Australasia but plays most of the time on the European Tour . In his first event in the European tournament series, the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic in 1989, he finished second and has won three titles so far. Since then, O'Malley has been able to finish every season - mostly clearly - among the top 100 of the European Tour Order of Merit , with his best ranking in 1995 with a 10th place.
His great strength is the accuracy of his tees , which underscores his leadership position in driving accuracy in 2001 and 2002.
Peter O'Malley has been married to his wife Jill since 1994. The two have two children and residences in Sydney and Sunningdale, England .
