Peter Pfeifenberger (born August 30, 1964 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and police officer. Pfeifenberger was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 2004 to 2013 .

Pfeifenberger is a police officer and worked for the Cobra task force from 1993 to 1994. Since 2003 he has been deputy post commander in Obertauern. Pfeifenberger was elected district chairman of the Lungau SPÖ in 2002 and also local party leader of the SPÖ St. Michael im Lungau. In the 2004 state elections , Pfeifenberger was elected to the Salzburg state parliament with a remaining vote and was sworn in on April 28, 2004. Pfeifenberger is area spokesman for regional infrastructure and civil protection.
