Peter Pineda

Peter Pineda (* around 1700; † after 1762 ) was a British Romance scholar , Hispanist, editor, grammarian and lexicographer of Spanish origin.

life and work

Pedro Pineda left Spain as a Sephardic and went to London. There he published a grammar of Spanish, expanded and improved the Spanish-English and English-Spanish dictionary by John Stevens and organized editions by Spanish authors ( Gaspar Gil Polo , Cervantes , Diego Saavedra Fajardo and Antonio de Lofraso ).
