Peter Pleus
Peter Pleus (born September 22, 1954 ) is a German manager and board member Automotive at Schaeffler AG .
Life
Peter Pleus studied mechanical engineering at the ETH Zurich from 1973 to 1978 . There he received his doctorate in 1982 with the topic A Second Order Theory for Finite Deformations of the Slender Beam .
Act
Pleus started his professional career in the family-owned company PLEUCO GmbH Carl Pleus und Sons , a manufacturer of engine and valve train components in Zell im Wiesental . After the merger of PLEUCO with the Mahle -Witzemann Group to form MWP Mahle-Witzemann-Pleuco , he became the managing director of this company in Stuttgart in 1994 , which is now known as Mahle Ventriltrieb GmbH .
In 2001, Pleus moved to the automotive management team at INA-Schaeffler KG in Herzogenaurach , where he became chairman of the engine system business division in 2005 and chairman of the automotive management team in 2009.
