Peter Sänger is a German sports journalist .

Life

Singer studied political science and sports. His main focus is on ice hockey , basketball , soccer , American football and boxing .

Singer has been working as a freelancer for Hessischer Rundfunk (hr) since 1994 . He commented on ice hockey home games for the Frankfurt Lions and the Kassel Huskies . He also presented numerous sports programs on radio, such as hr1 “Sportplatz” (later: hr1-ARENA), hr3 “sport” and hr-info “Sport”. As a moderator, commentator and editor he was responsible for the weekly television program “Eiszeit” with reports from the German Ice Hockey League .

In 2002 he was one of the ARD Bundesliga reporters and so he reported live for the first time from Bundesliga games of Frankfurt Eintracht . He also commented on numerous basketball games by the Opel Skyliners (later "Deutsche Bank Skyliners") and football games by the Frankfurt Galaxy .

His wife Sabine Sänger also moderates programs on hr television with “hessen aktuell” and “hessenschau”.
