Peter Sanftleben

Peter Sanftleben (born February 22, 1965 in Schwerin ) is a German political official . From 2014 to 2016 he was State Secretary in the Ministry for Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

After graduating from the Extended Oberschule Schwerin (1983) and studying animal production at the University of Rostock (1985–1990), after studying animal production (1990–1993), Sanftleben became a research assistant at the University of Rostock in 1991 , where he worked until 1993 was.

After graduating as Dr. agr. (1994) and a position as a research assistant at the State Research Center for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (1993-2002), Peter Sanftleben became head of the milk production department at the Institute for Animal Production of the State Research Center for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg- West Pomerania (2002– 2005) and 2005 head of the Institute for Animal Production there . This was followed by the post of Director of the State Research Center for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania between 2012 and 2014 .

On April 1, 2014, Minister Till Backhaus appointed Sanftleben as State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the Sellering II cabinet . He succeeded Karl Otto Kreer , who gave up his office for health reasons. From November 1 to December 30, 2016, Sanftleben was State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the Sellering III cabinet .

Subsequently, he was again head of the State Research Center for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
