Peter Schenk (politician)

Peter Schenk (born September 5, 1938 in Weimar ; † June 12, 2017 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

After graduating from high school, Peter Schenk trained as a business economist and completed a university degree in Medieval and German Studies. After completing his studies, he first worked in business and later at various schools and in the school supervisory service, most recently as the school authority director.

Peter Schenk, who was of the Protestant denomination, was married and has two children.

politics

Peter Schenk was directly elected to the state parliament in the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the state constituency of Wernigerode I (WK 8). He was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and was a member of the committees for culture and media; Education and Science and the First Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry.
