Peter Schlobinski (born January 22, 1954 in Berlin ) is a German linguist .

Live and act

From 1982 to 1987, Schlobinski was a research assistant at the German Studies Department at the Free University of Berlin. From 1987 to 1993 he worked as a university assistant in the field of German studies / general and comparative linguistics at the University of Osnabrück, and from 1993 to 1995 as a professor for German linguistics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as part of the Bavarian program to promote highly qualified young scientists. Since 1995/1996 he has been Professor of German Linguistics at the Leibniz University of Hanover . In 1998, together with Jens Runkehl and Torsten Siever, he launched the sprache @ web project , which operates the knowledge portal medienssprach.net .

Schlobinski's thematic focuses are German grammar , language and computer-aided communication, German didactics, sociolinguistics and contrastive linguistics . He is the editor of the series of study books on linguistics and co-editor of the journals Der Deutschunterricht und Mutterssprache and the online series Networx . Since May 2015 he has been chairman of the Society for the German Language .

Award

Schlobinski is the winner of the Konrad Duden Prize 2011, which is awarded every three years by the city of Mannheim and Dudenverlag .
