Peter Schneider (sports official)

Peter Schneider (* 1947 in Maasbüll ) is a German Jiu-Jitsuka and sports official.

Life

Peter Schneider started judo in 1968 and became a trainer at KFUM Flensburg in 1972 . In 1973 he received the 1st Dan . From then on, he became involved in the KFUM as a trainer and was a founding member of the Jiu-Jitsu Union Schleswig-Holstein . There he works as a state instructor and examiner.

He is chairman of the state professional association for Jiu-Jitsu in Schleswig-Holstein and is also a member of the advisory board of the state sports association Schleswig-Holstein . He played a key role in the cooperation between the regional association and the DJJV . In 2011 the cooperation led to a merger of the two associations.

On September 17, 2005, he was the first German ever to be awarded the 8th Dan Jiu-Jitsu. In 2006 he received the sports merit badge of Schleswig-Holstein. On August 15, 2013, the 9th Dan Jiu-Jitsu followed. Today he is one of the highest Dan bearers in Germany and one of the highest graded Jiu-Jitsuka in Schleswig-Holstein.

Private life

Peter Schneider, a skilled craftsman, was employed as a self-defense trainer in the penal service and still teaches self-defense courses at the adult education center in Flensburg .
