Peter Schuler

Peter Schuler (born January 4, 1942 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After elementary school, Schuler completed an apprenticeship as a physics laboratory assistant. In 1964 he obtained his Abitur on the second educational path and studied at the Pedagogical University in Worms. From 1967 to 1975 he worked as a teacher. In 1989 Schuler was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class .

politics

Schuler was state chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students in 1967/68 and from 1969 to 1975 a member of the state board of the Junge Union . From 1972 to 1994 he was elected to the Verbandsgemeinderat of the Verbandsgemeinde Waldsee , in which from 1974 he chaired the CDU parliamentary group. In 1975 he became a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , to which he was a member until 2001. There he was Vice-President of the State Parliament from 1996 until he left parliament. From 1994 he was district chairman of the CDU Ludwigshafen-Land.
