Peter Sidlo

Peter Sidlo (born February 9, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager and former district councilor of the FPÖ in Vienna-Alsergrund .

Career

After studying law at the University of Vienna, he devoted himself to studying economics and finance with a focus on capital market law and international financial law. Peter Sidlo worked for almost six years at the Financial Market Authority in the "Securities" division. He then switched to the listed real estate group conwert Immobilien Invest SE , where he was in charge of the “Capital Market” and “Corporate Communications” departments.

In 2010 he was sworn in as a free district council in Vienna-Alsergrund. In 2014 there was a change to the management board of the investment company SIGMA Investments .

On March 1, 2018, Sidlo and ÖVP Vice Party Leader Bettina Glatz-Kremsner were sent to the OeNB's Supervisory Board (General Council) by the Kurz I federal government . From May 1 to December 2, 2019, he was Executive Director for Finance and Compliance at Casinos Austria AG . His appointment as CEO of Casinos Austria AG was discussed in the media and politically as a casino affair and was investigated by the public prosecutor . At the beginning of December 2019, he was dismissed from this position by the company's Supervisory Board. On June 30, 2019, after renouncing his district council mandate, he resigned from the district representation of the ninth district of Vienna ( Vienna-Alsergrund ). On September 6, 2019, Sidlo temporarily suspended his mandate from the OeNB General Council.
