Bettina Glatz-Kremsner

Bettina Glatz-Kremsner (born September 30, 1962 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager , former politician ( ÖVP ) and, since May 1, 2019, General Director of Casinos Austria and CEO of Austrian Lotteries .

Life

Glatz-Kremsner grew up in Budapest , the father was the head of the cultural institute there , the mother a housewife. In Budapest she also attended the English-language primary school and the Hungarian grammar school. In 1980 she moved to Austria to study commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business .

Glatz-Kremsner started her professional career in 1990 as an operations manager at Austrian Lotteries. In the following year she became managing director of the then Hungarian subsidiary Lotto Union and held this position until 1997. In 1998 she became assistant to the board of directors of Casinos Austria AG and deputy head of the executive secretariat & controlling department of Austrian Lotteries. In 2006 she became director of the board of Austrian Lotteries and since 2010 she has been on the board of Casinos Austria AG.

She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Casinos Austria International Holding GmbH since December 2013 . She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Wien AG . Since January 2016, Glatz-Kremsner, the successor to Burkhard Hofer, has been the first woman to lead the EVN AG Supervisory Board .

Glatz-Kremsner has been Honorary Consul of the Republic of Hungary since January 2013 with responsibility for Vienna and Lower Austria .

On July 1, 2017, she was elected Federal Deputy Chairman of the Austrian People's Party and held this position until the end of April 2019. Alongside Sebastian Kurz , Elisabeth Köstinger , Gernot Blümel and Stefan Steiner , she was a member of the ÖVP steering group in the course of the formation of the government after the 2017 National Council election .

She has been a member of the General Council of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank since March 1, 2018 , succeeding Anna-Maria Hochhauser in this role .

On May 1, 2019, she succeeded Alexander Labak as General Director of Casinos Austria and Chairwoman of the Board of Austrian Lotteries. For the change within Casino Austria from the position of CFO to General Manager, she received EUR 1.6 million in severance payments.

Private

Bettina Glatz-Kremsner is married to Peter Glatz, he teaches at the Private Pedagogical University of the Diocese of Linz ; she is mother of one son and lives in Pöggstall
