Peter Straehle (* 1940 ) is a former German diver , trainer and functionary.

In 1968 he was able to occupy 8th place at the German championships in the Olympic swimming stadium in Berlin .

During his coaching activity in the Karlsruhe Forest City, he looked after the Olympic participant Maximiliane Michael , European Championship participant Kerstin Häffner and Andrea Anderson (participation in the European Youth Championship 1982). He participated as a referee at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich .

During his tenure as jumping warden of the German Swimming Association from 1977 to 1984, the fan pool in Karlsruhe was opened in 1982 . There he invented synchronized jumping . Due to the athletic achievements of the Karlsruhe jumpers, he was able to obtain the appointment of the fan pool to the state and federal base .
