Peter V. Brett

Peter V. Brett (* 8. February 1973 in New Rochelle , New York , United States ) is an American author of fantasy - novels .

Brett studied English literature and art history. He then worked for ten years as a lecturer for medical literature before devoting himself entirely to writing novels.

His debut Das Lied der Dunkelheit (Originally The Painted Man ) was positively received by critics and readers worldwide (e.g.). In 2010 the sequel The Whispers of the Night and The Great Bazaar (as a sub-book to the first part) appeared.

Brett now lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.

Paul WS Anderson (director) and Jeremy Bolt (producer), who are already responsible for the Resident Evil films together , have meanwhile secured the rights to film the first book and want to bring the result to the cinemas.
