Peter Wolfe , better known as Wolfman , (* 1968 in Maidstone , Kent ) is a British musician , songwriter and poet . He is also the singer of the band Wolfman and the Side-Effects .
Career
Wolfe first attracted public attention with his hit single For Lovers , which he wrote for Pete Doherty , the singer of the Babyshambles and member of the indie band The Libertines . Doherty and Wolfe have a deep friendship. So Doherty wrote the song Wolfman for Wolfe , which is published as the B-side on the Babyshambles single Albion . Wolfe also occasionally supports Babyshambles gigs.
In addition, there has been a documentary about Peter Wolfe since 2006, which is called Wolfman and I , but has not yet been published. Among other things, it deals with Wolfe's strong drug addiction , for which he went into therapy this year.
