Peter Zimmer (politician, 1868)

Peter Zimmer (born September 3, 1868 in Seibelsdorf , † January 19, 1957 in Moers ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Room joined at the beginning of the dictatorship of the resistance group of Hermann Runge and belonged to the "bread drivers," which distributed illegal pamphlets and writings. When the group was exposed, Zimmer also had to face the court and was sentenced to eight months in prison.

During the first term of his appointment as a member of the SPD, Zimmer was appointed a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , of which he was a member from October 2, 1946 to December 19, 1946. He held the office of senior president there.
