The Peters Glacier is a glacier on the south coast of South Georgia . It flows south into the western part of Cheapman Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1977 after Nicolaus Peters (1900–1940), who was head of the Reich Office for Whale Research in Hamburg from 1937 until his death .
