Petersen Automotive Museum
The Petersen Automotive Museum is an automobile museum located on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles in the US state of California . Robert E. Petersen and his wife Margie acquired a former Japanese shopping center built in 1962 , redesigned it and opened the Petersen Automotive Museum on June 11, 1994, which is operated by the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation after their death . The museum was renovated in 2015 and received a modern facade.
The Petersen Automotive Museum works as a non-profit organization .
Exhibits
There are 300 old-timer cars in the museum , 150 of which are alternately exhibited on an area of 100,000 sqft (approx. 9300 m²).
