The Peterson Bluff is a striking 1480 m high cliff in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Anare Mountains , it rises on the northern flank of the Ebbe Glacier . It forms the southeastern end of a ridge extending from Mount Bolt .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and using aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the cliff in 1970 after Donald C. Peterson, aerial photographer of the VX-6 flight squadron at McMurdo Station between 1967 and 1968 and from 1968 to 1969.
