The ship class with two cargo ships , known as the Regenstein class , was the first series of the Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL) over 10,000 GRT.

history

The ships were commissioned from Howaldtswerke Hamburg AG , Hamburg. The launch of the Regenstein took place on 25 June 1960 of the Riederstein two months later. On September 1, 1970, the ships were transferred to Hapag-Lloyd AG through the merger of Norddeutscher Lloyd and Hamburg-based HAPAG . After a further six years of service at Hapag-Lloyd, it was sold to Avaloma Bay Shipping Co. in Singapore and, from May 1, 1984, it was demolished in Xingang and Quinhuangdao.
