The Peter Mineralquellen GmbH is a German beverage company headquartered in Bad Peterstal and the further production site in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach .
history
The company was founded in 1926 by Emil Huber sen. newly founded. The mineral spring in Bad Peterstal was discovered as early as 1837, during which time water was bottled in neighboring Oppenau . Over the years the company has become the most important mineral spring in Baden . In 1932 the Peterstaler Mineralquellen added new products - consisting of various lemonades - to their range . At the beginning of 1941 the Rippoldsauer mineral springs were bought by the Peterstaler mineral springs. In 1962 they took over the brand and the operation of the Sophienquelle . A special event was in 1980 when the Peterstaler mineral water became the test winner in a taste and quality test in the United States . This resulted in an export to the United States, other European countries and the Gulf States . The Peterstaler Mineralquellen introduced the PET bottles in 2000 . In the same year they offered the new mineral water brand Black Forest Pearl (Schwarzwaldperle). In 2003 the PET plant in Bad Peterstal was put into operation.
A special operational feature is the 16-kilometer-long mineral water pipeline between the Bad Peterstal and Bad Rippoldsau production sites. In addition to these two production sites, the company also operates logistics centers in Oberkirch and Mannheim.
