Dieter Rudolf (born May 1, 1952 in Schmitten ) is a former German soccer player .

Dieter Rudolf began his career at Eintracht Frankfurt and moved to SV Darmstadt 98 in 1973 , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga twice and with whom he stayed until June 1984. With his 323 appearances, he is considered a Darmstadt goalkeeper legend.

Rudolf studied communications engineering and is currently managing director of a company in Weiterstadt . In November 2003, his attempt to overthrow the then presidium of SV Darmstadt 98 and to take over the presidency himself failed because of the vote of the club members. In his "competence team" Eckhard Krautzun , former trainer of the lilies, was designated for sports management.
