The Petersweiher im Viltz is an artificially created reservoir between Tröstau and Leupoldsdorf in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains . It is located directly on the district road WUN 7, which leads from the federal road 303 to Leupoldsdorf.
history
The pond was mentioned in the land register of the six offices in 1499 and was used for fish farming at that time. It belonged to the St. Peter church in Schönbrunn, before it later passed into the possession of the hammer lord of Leupoldsdorf.
