Petey Sarron
Petey Sarron (* 21st November 1906 in Birmingham , Alabama , USA ; † 3. July 1994 ) was an American boxer in the featherweight .
professional
Against his compatriot Red Burke he successfully made his professional debut with a points win over 10 rounds on October 20, 1924. In his second fight against Red Keenan he was disqualified . On May 11, 1936, he won the NBA World Championship when he defeated Freddie Miller over 15 rounds by majority decision.
At the end of October 1937 he lost the title to Henry Armstrong by classic knockout in round 6.
