The Petit bleu de Gascogne is a French breed of dog recognized by the FCI ( FCI Group 6, Section 1.2, Standard No. 31 ).

Origin and history

Origin is likely to be similar to the Grand Bleu de Gascogne . For years it was considered extinct. French breeders began to reconstruct the old breed again in the mid-20th century.

description

The Petit Bleu de Gascogne grows up to 58 cm and weighs 26 kg. Coarse, abundant, not too short hair is characterized by black stippling on a white background. The dogs appear gray to dark gray from a distance. Their ears are medium-sized and drooping.
