Petr Čepek

Petr Čepek (born September 16, 1940 in Prague , † September 20, 1994 in Vrchlabí ) was a Czech actor .

Career

Čepek was born in Prague as the son of Karel († 1945) and Miloslava, nee Haladějovou. He had a brother three years his junior.

After graduating from high school in 1958, he went to the theater faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague . In 1965 he became a member of the Emerging Dramatic Club , where he worked until his death. During the 70s and 80s he was one of the most sought-after actors in the Czech Republic and played with national stars such as Rudolf Hrušínský and Josef Somr . He last appeared in a role in Faust in 1994 .

Čepek was married three times and had two daughters. He died of lung cancer at the age of 54.
