Petr Mocek (born December 8, 1980 in Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Pardubice in the Czech extra league since 2011 .

Career

Petr Mocek began his career as a hockey player in the youth of HC Pardubice , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Czech extra league in the 2000/01 season . At his club, however, the defender could not prevail, so that he completed only three games in the Czech Republic's top division in the following season and instead mainly played for SK Slavia Třebíč in the second-rate first division . After a year with their league rivals HC Hradec Králové , the Czech was in the 2004/05 season for the Finnish second division Hokki Kajaani , for whom he scored nine points, including four goals, in a total of 38 games.

In the summer of 2005 Mocek returned to Hradec Králové , where he spent another two years in the Czech second division before he received a contract with HC Košice from the Slovakian extra league before the 2007/08 season . With the Slovaks he failed in the 2007/08 playoff final at HC Slovan Bratislava , but a year later he became Slovak champion for the first time in his career . In the final, the left shooter prevailed 4-2 in the best-of-seven series against the HK 36 Skalica . After this success he returned to his hometown club HC Pardubice. After five games for Pardubice, he moved to the second division for HC Chrudim , where he also spent a large part of the following season. Since the 2011/12 season he has played exclusively for HC Pardubice.
