Kajaanin Hokki is a Finnish ice hockey club in Kajaani , which was founded in 1968 and has been playing in the Suomi-sarja since 2017 . Hokki's team plays its home games in the 1,400-seat Kajaanin Jäähalli . The professional team's gaming operations are carried out by Kajaanin Edustushokki Ry , an operating company. Hokki has a partnership with Kärpät Oulu , with Hokki acting as the farm team of the first division club.
In the 2001/02 season, Hokki won the championship of Suomi-sarja . In the Mestis season 2006/07 Hokki won the Mestis Championship for the first time, a year later the team reached the second place of the Mestis.
In 2017 Hokki managed to get into the league in the Mestis relegation, but had to withdraw from the Mestis during the summer break for financial reasons and received a license for the Suomi-sarja .
