Jean-Philippe Paré (born October 9, 1979 in Longueuil , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dragons de Rouen in the French Ligue Magnus since July 2011 .

Career

Jean-Philippe Paré began his career as a hockey player with the Shawinigan Cataractes , for which he was active from 1995 to 2000 in the Canadian junior league QMJHL . The attacker then played for three years for the team of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport . In the summer of 2003 he received a contract with Hokki Kajaani from the Mestis , the second Finnish division, which he left after only one season. He then spent the 2004/05 season at Rouen Hockey Elite 76 in the French Ligue Magnus . With Rouen he won the Coupe de France , the national cup competition , in the same year .

The 2005/06 season Paré spent in the National League B , in which he was on the ice for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and SC Langenthal . He was then signed by HK Jesenice from the Austrian ice hockey league , for which he played for a year as well as then for HC Innsbruck and again his former Slovenian club from Jesenice. From the 2009/10 season , the Canadian went on the hunt for goals for the EC Graz 99ers . For the 2011/12 season he received a contract with the French first division club Dragons de Rouen from Ligue Magnus.
