Petra Jansen

Petra Jansen (* 1966 ) is a German sports psychologist and university lecturer .

Life

From 1987 Jansen studied anthropology, ethnology, psychology and mathematics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz , and in 1993 she obtained a Magister Artium degree . From 1995 she completed a doctoral degree in cognitive psychology in Duisburg , while she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for General Psychology at the Gerhard-Mercator University of Duisburg , where she completed her doctoral thesis in the spring of 1999.

From 1997 to 1999 Jansen was on parental leave, from 1999 to 2008 she was employed as a research assistant and then as a research assistant at the Institute for General Psychology at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . During this time, she completed her habilitation in experimental psychology in 2005. At the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , she continued her education in dance therapy .

In 2008, Jansen became a professor for sports science at the University of Regensburg . Her research focuses on motor skills, emotion and cognition.

In addition to the interdisciplinary bachelor's degree “Applied Movement Science”, which deals with the above-mentioned context, she developed the master's degree “Motion and Mindfulness” in the 2018 winter semester, which focuses on the scientific teaching of mindfulness-based procedures.
