Petra M. Geraats

Petra Maria Geraats is a Dutch economist . The lecturer's research area is macroeconomics and behavioral economics .

Life

Geraats obtained a Ph. D. in economics under the supervision of Maurice Obstfeld at the University of California in 2000 and has been teaching and researching this discipline at the University of Cambridge ever since . There she researches practical aspects of monetary policy and international finance. An important point of her research is the transparency of monetary policy . Her work on monetary macroeconomics is regularly among the most popular works worldwide in the monthly IDEAS ranking.
