Petra Rosenberg (* 1952 in Berlin ) is a lobbyist and spokeswoman for German Sinti and Roma .

Life

Rosenberg is a Sintiza and studied education at the Free University of Berlin. The topic of her diploma thesis was educational policy exclusion of German Sinti and Roma in the past and present in the FRG. As executive chairwoman of the regional association of German Sinti and Roma Berlin-Brandenburg eV, she has been the successor of her father Otto Rosenberg since 2001 .

Petra Rosenberg's biography was compiled in a book by the Anne Frank Center Berlin a. a. with the life story of Anne Frank on the subject of Between Persecution, Discrimination and Self-Assertion presented for use in schools.

Petra Rosenberg is a sister of the pop singer Marianne Rosenberg .

In 2013 she received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

In 2019 she was awarded the Otto Pankok Prize .
