The Comunità Montana Valle del Liri is an association of 19 municipalities in the Italian province of Frosinone . It was formed by the usually quite small communities, which are at least partly in mountainous regions, in order to strengthen the region's economic development and to stop the population from emigrating. Further tasks are the strengthening of tourism, nature conservation and the preservation of rural culture.
The area of the Comunità montana includes the valley of the Liri , a tributary of the Garigliano , and the surrounding mountain regions of the Monti Ernici . The Comunità has a circumference of 564 km 2 . It has a total of 105,308 inhabitants.
