Petra Soukupová

Petra Soukupová (born July 25, 1982 in Česká Lípa ) is a Czech writer and dramaturge .

Life

After graduating from high school, Petra Soukupová studied screenwriting at the FAMU Academy in Prague . In 2007 she made her debut with the novella K moři , for which she received the Jiří Orten Prize in 2008 . This was followed by other prose works Zmizet (2009), Marta v roce vetřelce (2011) and Pod sněhem (2015) as well as the children's book Bertík a čmuchadlo (2014). Her books have so far been translated into Polish , Italian and Hungarian .

Soukupová has been working as a dramaturge for Czech television since 2011.

Petra Soukupová lives in Prague. She has a daughter, Marla.
