Petra Winzer (* 1955 ) is a German engineer, ergonomist and professor at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Petra Winzer studied electrical engineering and industrial engineering . From 1981 she was an assistant in the field of ergonomics at the Cottbus University of Civil Engineering . In 1985 she received her doctorate from the Technical University of Dresden . In 1991 she became a research assistant in Bochum for six months. Then she was chief engineer at the chair for environmentally friendly work design at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus until 1999 . From 1995 to 1996 Winzer was visiting lecturer at the Technical University of Chemnitz and from 1996 to 1999 at the Technical University of Berlin . In 1996 she qualified as a professor at the TU Berlin in the field of quality science. In 1999 she accepted an appointment as a university professor in the field of product safety and quality control at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . From 2008 to 2014 she was Vice-Rector for Transfer and International Affairs.

In addition, Winzer has been a member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) since 2006, a member of the Society for Quality Science since 2008, a member of the "Production Technology " review board and expert reviewer of the German Research Foundation since 2010, and a member of the editorial team of the International Journal of Quality and Service since 2010 Sciences .
