Petras Sakalinis

Petras Šakalinis (born August 18, 1948 in Kazarieza , Molėtai Rajongemeinde , † March 11, 2007 ) was a Lithuanian politician and trade unionist .

Life

He learned in Kulionys and Suginčiai . From 1967 he studied at the Polytechnic School in Vilnius and became a locksmith of control measuring devices and automatics. From 1970 to 1972 he worked at Lietuvos standartų komitetas as a laboratory engineer , from 1972 to 1974 in the company "Matas", from 1974 to 1977 at Lietuvos kino studija , from 1977 to 1982 at Vilniaus kuro aparatūros gamykla , from 1982 to 1984 in Santariškės , from 1984 to 1991 in the company "Banga" as an electrician . From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas .

From 1988 he was a member of Sąjūdis , 1990–1993 head of Lietuvos darbininkų sąjunga , 1991–1996 director of the Chamber of Republic Trade Unions, 1993 vice-president of Lietuvos darbininkų sąjunga, from 1993 member of Tėvynės sąjunga .
