Petras Algirdas Miškinis

Petras Algirdas Miškinis (born December 2, 1936 in Saldutiškis , Utena district ; † 2003 in Kaunas ) was a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , member of the Seimas , civil and commercial lawyer .

Life

After graduating from the Mitell School in Dusetos in 1955 , he completed his law studies at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law in 1960 and an apprenticeship at the Institute of Economics in 1969 . In 1972 he received his doctorate at the Institute of Law in Belarus .

In 1982 he was a professor at the Kauno politechnikos institutas , in 1989 he was a lecturer at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas. From 1988 to 1992 he worked as a lawyer and managed the law firm. From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of the Seimas . From 1996 to 1998 he was head of the chair for law at the VDU. He then taught at the chair of civil and commercial law at Lietuvos teisės universitetas .

With Mrs. Birutė he had the son Algirdas Miškinis (* 1958), lawyer, professor of the MRU, and the daughter Rūta, a lawyer.
