Petros Tsitsipas (born July 27, 2000 in Athens ) is a Greek tennis player .

Career

Like his older brother Stefanos and his two younger siblings Elisavet and Pavlos, Petros Tsitsipas trains at Patrick Mouratoglou's academy in France.

In addition to tournaments as a junior, Tsitsipas has also occasionally played professional tournaments since 2015. Although he placed himself in the world rankings in singles and doubles , he has not yet made a breakthrough. As the best result in doubles, he was able to move into a future final three times , the lowest tournament category. In February 2019, he and his brother Stefanos received a wildcard for the doubles tournament in Marseille , where he made his first appearance on the ATP Tour . They lost their opening match against Sander Arends and Tristan-Samuel Weissborn .

Tsitsipas has also been playing for the Greek Davis Cup team since 2017 , where he has so far been 5-2.
