The Peugeot e-Vivacity is one of Peugeot -designed electric scooter , which was developed from the activities of the electric scooter segment of the vehicle manufacturer out of a department at PSA Corporation, which has existed since the 1995th According to the manufacturer, the model has been on the market since spring 2011.

Technical characteristics
An air-cooled electric motor , which delivers a maximum of 4 kW short-term peak power, provides propulsion . Two lithium-ion traction battery units from Saft with a total charging capacity of 2 kWh serve as energy storage . The electric scooter is charged (at a normal 230 V socket) via a spiral charging cable that is stowed under the bench. The process takes around four to five hours, with 80 percent of the charging capacity being reached after the first two to three hours. The lithium-ion traction batteries can withstand at least 1,000 charging cycles. They are designed for a service life of 40,000 km. A battery management system is integrated. The display in the cockpit always shows the battery capacity or the battery charge status. The first red segment indicates a critical charge level. The orange segments 2 and 3 indicate a charge level below 30 percent. The segments above are in the green area. The remaining range in kilometers can also be read off.
At a constant top speed of around 45 km / h, at which the motor produces around 3 kW of power, the scooter can achieve a range of around 60 km. In energy-saving mode, in which the speed of the scooter is reduced to 25 km / h, the range increases to 120 km.
The operating mode of the e-scooter can be selected with a button below the cockpit . Three switch positions are available as options for this: normal , narrow maneuvering and reverse gear .
